By calsprite, June 29, in Romantic and Aromantic Orientations. Similar to a previous post about the term 'platoniromantic', this is a new one that I've seen to describe people who find
Quoiromantic asexual spores difficult to differentiate between platonic and romantic feelings.
If I remember right, it originated when someone asked for a less vulgar way of saying 'wtfromantic', so it became 'whatromantic'.

A french speaking Canadian came along and suggested 'quoiromantic' since it's both a direct translation and basically a prettier way of saying it. I personally love it and use it whenever appropriate! What are your feelings on it, and is anyone else similar to me?
Platoniromantic, while apparently meaning the same as wtfromantic at least that's what was said in the other threadsounds like the confusion stems from not being
Quoiromantic asexual spores to say whether one experiences romantic or platonic feelings
Quoiromantic asexual spores I thought wtfromantic simply means one cannot really pinpoint one's feelings because romance is such a strange concept - in other words it doesn't necessarily have to be between platonic and romantic feelings one cannot distinguish.
Or maybe I understood the label wrong. Then wtfromantic sounds just downright stupid. Whoever made that term up probably didn't take the label serious. And quoiromantic looks just weird.
It's even worse now that you mentioned it comes from the French "quoi" because I know how that is pronounced and I hate it.
I think overall I like quoiromantic
Quoiromantic asexual spores most though, as long as it is explicitly not pronounced French I like quoiromantic better than wtfromantic. Aside from being less vulgar, whenever I see wtfromantic, my brain goes wt fromantic.
It's a very interesting term. Much better than WTFromantic. I think you should contact the person that
Quoiromantic asexual spores with wikia for AVENites and request a update on the term. I think wtfromantic is a 'catch all' term for people on the aro spectrum that can't really define their orientation, but it's one of those words without a strict definition by the looks of things, haha.
I can't talk for platoniromantic though, but I guess they're all just similar but slightly different terms.

I kinda like quoiromantic! I am still quite confused about my romantic orientation and having never been in a romantic relationship doesn't help.
I might be lithromantic or panromantic or mostly heteroromantic But what I would desire from a romantic relationship is not too different from what I get in platonic ones. Anyways, I like the word. But I saw these terms all being used kind of "Quoiromantic asexual spores" which can be a little misleading because I would also consider platoniromantic a sublabel of wtfromantic from what I read in the other thread.
Like, platoniromantic is a little more specific as to why there is some confusion regarding romantic feelings whereas wtfromantic really can be anything. I've been in a couple of relationships, and I feel the same way! In a romantic partner

I think that idea is slightly separate to my orientation though. Ah i see what you mean! I agree there then.
I guess there'll be a little more clarification between what means what once they're all more commonly used which I feel they will be. If you mean updating the AVEN wiki, you could request updates in this thread: Or if you'd like to

Quoiromantic asexual spores like it as a replacement. This is the first post that it was mentioned in I think I went digging a little: I think requesting an update would be easier, so I'll get round to that later. Thanks for the link! Romantic and Aromantic Orientations Search In.
